Life's Vocations
1 What Life's Vocation (LV) is
Life’s Vocation (LV) is a fairly broad concept for human activities.
In the YKY-list of Life's Vocations, we distinguish three main groups, which somewhat serves as a definition. In alphabetical order, they are as folows:
-
Livelihoods;
-
Pastimes;
-
Sciences.
At YKY, they learn life's vocations for the purpose of Orientation, Deepening, and/or Diving.
Livelyhoods
We have divided them into two main subgroups: 1 Eco-livelihoods: - Self-care; - Self-labor; - Agriculture; - Crafts; 2 Professions and careers in the global World of Work - they are our objects of general vocational orientation via YKY's "green magnifier".
Sciences
They are listed according to the scientific systematisation, with four subgroups: • Natural sciences; • Humanitarian and social sciences; • Applied sciences; • Formal sciences.
Pastimes
Three main groups in YKY, each one with multiple subgroups: • Arts; • Sports; • Tourism; • Hobbies;
1 Groups of CORI-sciences and practices according to priority: • Fundamental; • Important: • Useful; 2 Groups of CORI-sciences and practices according to kinship: • Nature; • Man and society; • Languages, communication and literature; • Arts; • Physical activity and health; • Eco-skills.
2 Choosing your Life's Vocations
Choose your Life's Vocation(s) for learning at YKY: a multitude of them for Orientation-Tasting and/or Orientation-Experience; a single one for Diving.
