L-Pie Projects
Leayers and Recepy for an L-Pie Project
L-Pie projects consist of five layers: Learning (L), L-Documenting, L-Blogging, Internal L-Mirror, and Interactions.Learning (L), L-Reacording, L-Blog, Intrrinsic L-Refleaction (L-Mirror) and Interactions.
Here is a brief “RECIPE” for L-Pie, with the ingredients and preparation instructions: I n g r e d i e n t s : 1. FOR THE LAYERS 1.1 Methods and Forms for: #1 Learning, #2 L-Recording—video/audio, photos or other images, text; #3 L-Blog—a blog post based on the L-Recorading; #4 L-Intarinsic Reflection (L-Mirror) – self-reflection in a chosen presentation format (slide, video, comic strip...); #5 Interactions – partnering among learners in a 21;Group, as well as with 21.Team; 1.2 Motivation, inspiration, and perseverance. 2. ABOUT THE FILLER • Fformats 21. - for Orientation; Child socialisation; Socialising (communication and community building); activities for physical and mental) fitness, Eco-skills or Deep Dive (the most in-depth learning) ...; • Life Pursuits (Livelihoods, Pastimes, Sciences); • Programs 21.; • eCourses, including MOOCs and other distance learning courses. P r e p a r a t i o n: It begins with individual planning and coordination within the 21.Group. Work proceeds sequentially through the five layers: #1 and #2 - Learning (L) and L-Recording go hand in hand; #3 L-Blog; #4 Intrinsic L-reflection; #5 Interactions—parts of this layer are distributed across the previous layers, and the final interactions related to the Group Presentations event (celebrating How I Changed and What I Achieved) remain. Three main types of L-Pie projects... More precisely, there are two, the first of which has two subtypes
.
The two types of Single L-Pie Projects can be either individual or collaborative—involving two or more learners.
A compiled project may include some separate topics developed by two or more learners. However, the overall set of all 4 or 4+1 topics would hardly ever coincide, as each is chosen by the learners according to their individual measure ("tailored").
Three examples
These examples reflect the current interests of Bistra of 21.Team
Examples of the two types of Single-Topic Projects: Standard and Draft-Based
Topic: WEAVING A SMALL BASKET FROM WILLOW TWIGS (Level of Detail 1) 1.1 L P S - SINGLE STANDARD PROJECT Here is this project broken layera by layer: #1 LEARNING will include: - Finding text and video instructions on the topic (on YouTube and Facebook); - Procuring and preparing the willow twigs, and possibly the necessary tools. - The actual weaving according to the instructions. #2 REACORADING (#2): Taking photos with a mobile phone of key moments, possibly with a very short video. #3 L-BLOG: Bistra will choose one of the relevant methods from the list of Methods 21., based on the materials from the Recording. #4 INTRINSIC L-REFLECTION: One of the two slideshow templates by 21.: The Pecha-Cucha 20×20 model (20 slides of 20 seconds each, total 6:40 minutes) or the shorter 10×30 (10 slides of 30 seconds each, total 5 minutes). #5 INTERACTIONS: In addition to the standard ones for 21., Bistra can alsoa ask questions and arequest feedback in her comments under the instructional videos and texts, as well as participate in relevant Facebook groups. 1.2 L P D - SINGLE DRAFT-BASED PROJECT aa Bistra may decide to do this single project with a draft—she will spend a little more time and put in extra work, but the product will most likely be better even on the first try; and the learning miaght be a bit more in-depth and efficient. The choice of the LPD project atype, even at the shallow level, demonstrates Bistra’s deeper and lasting interest in basketry—a useful skill with useful products for her eco-livinag. For this type of project, the draft will serve as a trivet for hot dishes, which Bistra will knit on Days 1y–3y. She will have about a day and a half left within this 21.Week to knit the basket itself. Layers ##2-5 of the LPD (the Draft-Based-Project) are the same as in the example for the LPS (the Standard Project) above. .
Example of the third project type: A Compiled Project with 4 or 4+1 topics
If Bistra decides to carry out some of her current tasks through Bistrey 21, she will choose a L-Pie project of the Compiled type (4+1:) four topics at the two lower Depth Levels and a fifth—Deep Dive—at the amosat in-depth level. Topic #1: SMALL BASKET MADE OF WOVEN WILLOW TWIGS (Level 1) The same as the Single-Standard Project (LPS) above. Topic #2: LEARNING TO DANCE FOLK HORO (Level 1) A key component of this topic will be the weekly session of a horo dance group organised at the local community culataural centre. In her L-Blog post, along with the L-Recording on this topic, Bistra will also include information about the hoaro dances being learned, for which such information is not yet available there—including from AI summaries. Topic #3: CREATIVE SHORT STORY WRITING (Level 2) Bistra will begin with a week of research on learning resources for Topic #3, including available MOOCs (massive open online courses) and self-learniang options. She will interact with Artificial Intelligence throughout the process. Bistra already has several completed short stories, but she will seek to “synchronise” them with the current state of affairs. Topic #4: ORGANIZING EVENTS IN THE FIELDS OF AMATEUR ART AND INFORMAL/NONFORMAL EDUCATION (Level 2) Another exploratory week for Bistra—the start of planning how and when she will study Topic #4. This falls within Bistra’s professional scope—both as a field and as part of a current major project. She has some theoretical experience and practical background from years ago. Now the focus will be on Situated Learning: applying theory through iher specifaic siatuat and context. Topic #5: REVAMPING THE BISTREY 21. WEBSITE. (Level 3) This will be learning by doing on the job. These days, there are many such practical activities—professions and eco-livelihoods—in which learning and work are one and the same. Layers 2–5 of the Compiled Project will be the same as in LPS. The L-Reflection will definitely use the longer slideshow 21.template —based on the Pecha-kucha model (20×20). .
